English AP/DE- Week 6

Happy Friday, Roadrunners! We made it through our first (and only) week of hybrid learning. Next week begins our full time in person learning or our continuation of home-based instruction. Make sure you finalize your choice by the end of today; choose what is best for your family. I am eager to see all your smiling faces next week.

We began the week by revisiting classroom rules and procedures; these are a bit different than what it expected online. We finished our discussion on the main types of evidence and worked on incorporating that into our education pieces. These will be due next week, prior to moving on to our next unit. We have also been working at identifying SPACE within documents and creating something called a Rhetorical precis! Ask your student about it. The more you visit with them about this, the better it sticks.

Quick reminder: There is no school on Monday due to it being my birthday…ha, not really. It’s Labor Day. There will be a sub on Tuesday since I am going out of town this weekend. Please make sure your kiddos are well behaved and do what is asked of them.
