Week 2: April 6 – April 9

In AP English Literature, English III, English IV

Good Morning, Roadrunners!

I hope that week 1 wasn’t too stressful on all of you. If you have any feedback, positive or negative, please let us know. This is new territory for all of us and we are trying our best, which means communication from students and parents is crucial.

I want you all to know that I understand the pressures we are all under. I have two kids at home that I am trying to home-school, while helping my students at the same time. Each of us has something else, besides school, to worry about and I am here to help you in any way I can. Just let me know how I can help.

This is a short week, with Easter Sunday just around the corner. There will be no home based instruction on Friday or Monday. Enjoy the four-day weekend with your family.

All criteria for the current week is under “Week 2”, so please always check the “Read First” section before proceeding. This is a good outline for what is expected of you. For detailed information, please visit each individual activity. For this week, you have an ongoing Bellwork assignment that is similar to the I Survived book series you might have read as a kid. Read the directions carefully before starting and let me know if you have any questions about this. Your bellwork will be due on Tuesday of every week. Your main activity is an assignment in Actively Learn. Make sure that for the written portion you are writing in complete sentences and using textual evidence.

I am planning on continuing our Meet chats every day. I will shoot for 10am and 2pm daily. No, these are not required. I will post the link Google Classroom 15 minutes prior to the meet starting. You can pop in to ask questions, to get help troubleshooting your computer, to just visit, or maybe you want to just work with others nearby. This meet session can be whatever you want it to be. I have enjoyed seeing your faces, so I hope to see more of you throughout the week.

That is everything for now. Please let me know if you need anything.

Take care,

Ms. K
