English III: January 21-24

 In English III

Hello, Roadrunners.

This past week we kept busy reading The Crucible and made it through the first two acts. Since this is a play, we are reading this in class, but students are asked to review what we have read each night. Ideally, each student should be reading for 30 minutes a night! We are tackling deep thinking questions about the play and the motives behind certain character’s actions. We are also learning new vocab words each week and taking a quiz on Fridays! Help your student study; these are challenging words that we do not often hear on a daily basis. We will finish the play next week and take a test on it the following week. Please make sure your students are up to date on their reading and understanding completely. Quick update about reading this semester. I am asking students to read 250 pages by the end of the year.  They can complete this at any time. If they are reading 30 minutes a night, this should not be an issue. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

Nut Policy

As a friendly reminder, San Tan is a Nut Free Campus. We have quite a few students on campus that are severely allergic to nuts. Please check your students bags/lunch boxes prior to dropping them off, or sending them on their way. Thank you for keeping everyone on our campus safe!

Please let me know if you need anything else from me or have any questions.

Have a great weekend.
