English w/Kovach >> Week 36
Happy Sunday, Roadrunners!
I’m a bit sluggish as I type this message out. Our Senior Trip was this weekend and it was quite the adventure. I am so happy I went on this trip with these kiddos; they were amazing and really showcased what it looks like and means to be a Roadrunner!
We are one week closer to the end and we still have so much to do!
We wrapped up MAP testing last week; it look a bit longer with all the AP testing happening, but I think we got 98% of my classes taken care of. The numbers are looking pretty good overall too. Updates will come shortly…
Reminder….May 20th!!!! That is the last day a student may submit any assignments. No late work will be taken after this date! And no work that is over two weeks old will be accepted.
English IV: We watched a Dystopian short film and will discuss it in detail on Monday as we dive into a not-so-perfect society.
English III: My goal is to finish the book this week. Now that testing is over, it is going to be peddle to the metal.
English I-Honors: Students should have finished the book over the weekend. We rounded out the week by looking at rhetoric in Atticus’ closing argument.
AP Literature: We finally returned to Frankenstein and should wrap that up this week.
I believe that is everything for now. My apologies for the shortness of this. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Have an amazing Sunday!
Ms. Kovach
