English w/Kovach > Week 18

In AP English Literature, English I Honors, English III, English IV

Hello, Roadrunners!

Another week is in the books and we are nearing the end of our first semester. Next week is Finals week and then it’s Christmas vacation. We finished MAP testing on Monday and then did MAP makeups Thursday. I am so excited by all the improvement I’m seeing in scores. You should be too.

Here’s what you need to know:

English I-Honors: All Banned Books should have been read by Friday. We spent time researching where, when and why each book was banned. Next week we will do some more activities with these books.

English III and IV: We spent time working on our Narrative essays, took part in an extensive Self-Review and will now put into play all suggestions and tips before their Final Draft is due Wednesday.

AP English Literature: We continued our Poetry Presentations and I am simply amazed by the detail and creativity I have seen so far. I am eager to see what the remaining students have put together.

And now a word from Mrs. Tischer….
