English w/Kovach > Week 12

In AP English Literature, English I Honors, English III, English IV

Happy Friday Roadrunners!

This has been an interesting week and I think we are all looking forward to the weekend. Please see below for what has been happening.

English IV: We talked about Britain’s History and how it helped shape the English language, then we discussed greed prior to reading an excerpt from The Canterbury Tales. We are gearing up for our Renaissance unit and plan to begin next week! Shakespeare here we come!

English III: We are wrapping up our unit on Early American Literature. Next week we will start reading Into the Wild. I have copies for students, but if they would like a personal copy to write in, I would suggest getting one over the weekend.

English I-Honors: We discussed the process of obtaining knowledge, even knowledge within plants, and then finished with a comparative writing piece on Joan Didion’s “Georgia O’Keefe” and the character of Snowball in Animal Farm.

AP English Literature: We are fully immersed in poetry and getting quite good at analysis. We will continue our poetry unit next week. Students seem to be enjoying the ride.

Please have an amazing weekend and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best,

Ms. Kovach
