English III > Week 17

Happy Friday, Roadrunners!

This was a challenging week with so many students transitioning online; I miss their faces already. Please remind your students that if they are at home they need to be logging into their class on time and productive during our time together. I know this is a difficult transition, so we all need to work together to make this as seamless as possible. I am here to help as much as I possibly can, but I need their help as well.

As a heads up: all work is due by December 11 in all classes. I will not take late work over 4 weeks late. Please check your student’s Infinite Campus to see what is missing and what can be made up still. If you have any questions please reach out.

This week we spent time recapping Act I by creating our own newspaper, ​The Salem Star​. I think the students genuinely enjoyed this process and I am so impressed by their creations already. We are nearly done with Act II and accusations are flying like crazy…much like the “witches” in our play.

Next week is a short week, with Wednesday being a half day and no school Thursday and Friday. I look forward to our annual Charlie Brown Thanksgiving though. 🙂
