Happy Friday, Roadrunners!

This was a short week for me and it went by pretty fast. I had an amazing time up in Flagstaff, but I missed being in the classroom. It is so great to see students back in the classroom. There are a few things I am noticing though and I would like to bring it to your attention, so that you can help me, help your students be as successful as possible.

We spend time in class going over assignments; often times we discuss answers to questions prior to my assigning them. Even with this occurring, students are not putting forth their best effort and their grades are suffering. Please remind your students that it is important to show up to class prepared, to be respectful to their teachers and peers, to stay focused, ask questions, and pay attention. I am here to help and I don’t ask a lot from these guys, but I do expect to be respected.

This week we have spent an ample amount of time refining our essays on education; taking part in peer review, honing our MLA skills, etc. On Friday, we tested our knowledge of all the content we’ve covered by taking an AP progress check. I am confident that they will all do amazing. If you haven’t yet, please check your students grades on Infinite Campus (they are more accurate than Google Classroom) and see how well your student is doing.

Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Finally, I have included a picture of my family’s adventures this past weekend. It was a great time and I am very lucky to have been able to spend my birthday with my beautiful (and crazy) kiddos.

Have an amazing weekend! See you all next week.

Best, Ms. K
