AP English > Week 2
Happy Friday, Roadrunners!
Week two is in the books and what troopers these students have been. We began the week correcting quiz mistakes on class policies and procedures. Every single student should know my class rules, late work policies, absences, etc. This will help them be successful.
I spent the start of the week inundating students with AP Lit. materials; some are genuinely nervous, while others are excited and ready to go. We then spent time reading, annotating, and preparing to discuss “Why Read Literature?” I am looking forward to our conversation on this next week!
Thursday and Friday we started our ELA MAP testing and we will finish on Monday! I emphasized just how important these scores are for myself and the school so we can accurately teach these kiddos on areas they need taught! So far, I am extremely impressed with the level of seriousness they appear to have. I have not had to ask anyone to slow down and take it serious. I’m excited to see what their scores are.
I believe that is everything for now. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Also, make sure to log into Infinite Campus over the weekend to check your student’s grades. Let’s catch missing assignments early on!
Have an amazing weekend!
Best,
Ms. Kovach
