English II Honors > Week 5
Good Afternoon, Roadrunners and Happy Friday!
This has been a crazy week. With MAP testing finishing out the week and hybrid learning starting up next week things have been moving quickly. We are all excited to have students back on campus. Just remember to be safe and stay home if you are sick. I attached a video made by our Student Council team. Please take a moment to view it.
We put the finishing touches on our personal narratives this week. Peer review went well, even though it was virtual. I think they received some excellent feedback and I look forward to reading their revised pieces. After this week, we will move onto our next unit: Animal Farm. I have copies of this book for all students, but if they would prefer to have their own copy I always encourage that. Students coming into class next week will receive a hard copy. Those students remaining online will need to stop by the office and pick up a copy of the book. Please send me an email if you plan on stopping by and I will put one in the front office for your student.
Next week, we will make the transition into hybrid learning, so there will be students physically in class and online. I have an idea of how this is going to work, but I am sure there will be some kinks I need to work out. Please remind students to show a little grace this coming week as we are all learning what this new process looks like. I know that my top priority is your students learning, but also their well-being. I will do what I can to teach them in a safe environment.
I don’t have much else for you at this point. We are in need of clorox wipes though. I know these are really hard to come by, but if you stumble across some please consider grabbing some for your kiddos classroom.
Have an amazing weekend!
Best,
Ms. K
