English II- Honors > Week 4: Aug. 17 – Aug. 21
Happy Monday, Roadrunners.
Let me first apologize for my tardiness on sending this out; it has been a busy couple of weeks.
Last week we wrote feverishly our personal narratives. We talked about the difference between showing our readers what is going on versus telling them; we worked on incorporating dialogue correctly and we rounded it out by looking at ways to “write like a pro”. Needless to say…we did a lot. This group is amazing though and are very hard working. I am eager to read over their rough drafts (which are due tomorrow). They have had ample time in class to work on this assignment so I am not expecting any issues to arise.
Please remind students to reach out if they have any questions and to not wait until it’s past a due date to do so. I am here to help them and want each and every one of them to be successful.
We have MAP testing this week on Thursday and Friday, so please make sure your student is well rested, eaten a great breakfast, and is in a place where they can focus with limited distractions.
Let’s have a great week!
Best, Ms. K
