English w/Kovach >> Week 35

In AP English Literature, English I Honors, English III, English IV

Happy Sunday, Roadrunners! And Happy Mother’s Day to all you Roadrunner Mamas out there! I hope you get pampered!

I keep looking at the calendar thinking somehow the year is not so close to it’s end, but sadly, we only have 15 days of school left! That means 15 (14 if they don’t come after graduation ) days left with our seniors. I am slowly preparing myself.

All the wonderful cards and gifts last week for Teacher Appreciation Week made it that much more real. Thank you to everyone that spoiled me last week. It was great appreciated.

Quick reminder…the Senior Trip is this Friday and I will be joining them, so please make sure all students are on their best behavior for their sub.

May 20th!!!! That is the last day a student may submit any assignments. No late work will be taken after this date! And no work that is over two weeks old will be accepted.

In all classes, we spent Monday appreciating the teachers and wrote heartfelt notes. Thursday and Friday we began MAP testing and will continue to test this coming Monday snd Tuesday. We were also overwhelmed with AP testing last week and will finish it off moving into this week.

English IV is doing a Dystopian Literature unit to end the year.

English III is still trudging through our novel and will hopefully finish that by the end of this week or beginning of next.

English I-Honors should be working on completing their reading of To Kill a Mockingbird. We are working towards a Socratic Seminar to finish the unit out.

AP Literature has been on a hiatus due to AP prepping and testing. Starting mid-week, we will return to Frankenstein.

That is everything for now. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
