English w/Kovach > Week 33

In AP English Literature, English I Honors, English III, English IV

Happy Sunday, Roadrunners!

The days are just ticking down and it is definitely crunch time for these kiddos. We just need to keep working hard and doing our best and everything will turn out just fine in the end. We are all in this together.

SENIORS: Thursday and Friday seniors will be taking part in CPR training, so please ensure they arrive to school on time those days (and every other day…;-))

Here is what we’ve been working on…

English IV: We read and discussed Act II of The Importance of Being Earnest and finished out the week discussing the social classes. We will finish the play this week.

English III: We continued reading our novel and discussing regional literature. This is a slow moving text and they are being real troopers.

AP Literature: We are mid way through Frankenstein and we will be taking a quick break this week to do some prepping for the AP exam.  I am not worried about students being successful on this; everything we have been working on and towards has prepared them for this test.

English I-Honors: Part I of To Kill a Mockingbird has been completed and students are doing a pretty good job of staying on top of their reading. We did a fun “Day in the Life” activity early in the week. Students had to make some difficult choices, but they managed to come out unscathed.

I believe that is everything for now. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Have a great week!

Best,

Ms. Kovach
